The following updates are now live:
New Features
Two new slots have been added to the character page.
The first slot is the Mastery slot which through items lets you increase your skills by various amounts. Using a Mastery item can increase your total skill level beyond the normal 100 skill limit which will increase the stats on items that use the specified skill beyond their normal values.
The second slot is the Debuff slot. Items in this slot will lower the specified skill of your opponent as the battle begins and will last through the entire battle.Items
The item database has changed considerably for all weapons all spells. Stats for those items have been completely rebalanced so you may notice some of your items now do more or less damage than before.
Attack modifiers have been removed from all items.
The energy system has been removed from the game.
Items now have a delay setting that will cause all of your attacks to pause while the delay is active.Skill System
A completely new skill tree structure is now online that should make it easier to train the skills you want.
All player skills have been reset and a full refund of skill points has been credited to each player.
Some skills have been merged or renamed so be sure to check your items before retraining your skills.
Class skill trees have been removed from the game. Classes will re-appear in a future update and they will be determined automatically based on your trained skills and equipped items.
Second level skills in the skill tree such as Slashing, Piercing, etc. have been removed.
Skill resets now refund 90% of your skill points for the skill being reset. In other words, you only lose 10% of your skill points every time you reset a skill.
Due to the removal of the second tier of skills in the skill trees, the skill cap has been lowered to 400.Site Layout
The usernames of the users who are currently playing EverWars are now listed at the bottom of most game pages. Each of the usernames are links to the profile pages of the respective user.
The skills in the Skill Trainer are now highlighted if you have at least 1 point trained in a skill to make it easier to see the skills you have trained.
