Anyone know about weapon prefixes?

in the prefixs of weapons like tattered polished and pristine to name a couple. which one is the worst and which one is the best? :confused:

I'm guessing tattered is worse than pristine. :) Adjectives.

Do the prefixes actually make any difference, as opposed to the damage weapons do (or the protection armor affords, for that matter)?

Item qualities (Corroded, Tarnished, etc.) affect weapon damage and armor values.

And no, I won't give out the values either ;)...
