This update was the biggest update we have ever launched for EverWars. While there are many new features and changes that you will notice after this update, the real benefit of this update is in what it will allow us to add to the game in future updates.
It is very important that we make sure that the major changes to the battle engine and other areas are working correctly before we can proceed with taking advantage of the new game engine features we have added.
There very likely will be bugs with this update given the scope of how much has been rewritten or changed in the game engine. Please let us know if you run into any problems by reporting them in the EverWars Bugs forum.
We ask that you be patient with any bugs or problems you encounter after this update. We will work as quickly as possible to fix any problems but some problems may be tricker to locate and fix than in the past.

The following updates are now live:
The battle engine has been rewritten to support completely new features we call "action items." Initially, the action items are going to be limited to Stuns, Damage Over Time (DoT) and Heal Over Time (HoT) but this is only the beginning. We have a LOT of plans for action items but we need to make sure the core system is working correctly before we move forward.
The Attack slot has been renamed to the "Primary Attack" or just "Primary" slot.
The Expendables slot has been renamed to the "Secondary Attack" or just "Secondary" slot and will be used by both action and expendable items.
Every time you attack in a round (even if you miss), you get a small chance for a secondary attack. When a secondary attack triggers it will run in parallel to the normal battle system. Meaning, if you get a secondary attack and you cast a DoT spell, it will continue providing damage over time even when you are not attacking or you are under a delay from a previous attack.
The level cap has been increased to level 20 along with additional benefits such as life points, inventory slots, etc.
The initial support for Classes is now in the game. We are still tweaking the classes and for now, they are mainly useful in helping you determing what type of opponent you are facing in battle. In the next major update, classes will become a major part of the game.
New players will now choose their class after selecting their race.
You can change your class one time for free, but after that it will have a cost.
When you choose or change your class, all of your skills will be reset and your skill points will be saved in your unallocated skill points box. You will receive 60 skill points in total that will be assigned to skills based on the skillset of the class you choose. You can change your class manually by changing your skillset using the Skill Trainer page.
Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause players to be sent to the wrong page when clicking the Continue button on the battle results page.
You are now able to attack players more quickly if you have lost battlepoints to a player and more slowly if you have won battlepoints from a player.
We have added support for Battle Credits that can be used in additional to everpoints in paying for battles. Battle Credits have one advantage in that you will have no wait time in between battles when using them. While we have added support for battle credits, you will not be able to obtain them until the next update.
Cleaned up the Skill Trainer page and made it so when you update a skill, it takes you back to that skill automatically when the page reloads.
The EverWars Store has been temporarily taken offline until we feel confident this update is working correctly.
The skill reset fee has been temporarily removed but this will not last long.
A lot of little things have been changed or fixed.
