I have to 2hspears. They are both uncommon and I decided I would like to use them instead of the quarterstaves I have. I am putting my skills into mage and in order to user 2hspears you need to be a fighter to get the full benefit. I invested 25 points in fighter, 25 in piercing weapons, then 25 in 2hspears. When I looked at my nice new spears I noticed that instead of the spears having just invested 75 skill points in spears I get an additional 1 damage on one spear and nothing on the other.

Origian stats

Spear 1
9 damage
x delay
1 dex

Spear 2
8 damage
x delay
1 dex

New stats after skill points
Spear 1
10 damage
x delay
1 dex

Spear 2
8 damage
x delay
1 dex

Is this a bug or is it just not that much of a difference?

Can you give me the id numbers for each spear? Listed at the bottom right on the card image.

Oh .. I get what you are saying .. the two spears have different max damage potential. So one probably does 10 damage and the other does 9 damage or something like that once your skill level reaches the required level.

I'm hoping to have some way for the full stats to display on items you do not meet the requirements on.

Items

# 777-UC
# 775-UC

I know that they should have different max damage, but my point is that after I invested all the required points (25 fighter, 25 piercing, 25 2hspears = total 75) The weapons increased by only 1 point combined.

This works as intended (at least for now) .. stats are adjusted based on a skill of 100 so you take less of a hit on stats for lower skill levels on items with lower skill level requirements.

Does that make sense? Kind of confusing I know ..

Interesting, so even after investing the points required to use it (both uncommon) they only gained 1 point of damage? Well one gained one point the other just turned from red to white. I am not saying that the max damaged should be upped, but maybe the penalty should be a little more harse for not having the skill. 1 point of damage for 1 weapons and no penalty at all for the other seems a little bit of a waste.

Or are you saying that o nthe back end we won't hit as often if you don't have the skill points.

Now this may change but ..

I'm saying that if an item does 10 damage and has a skill requirement of 25, you automatically are given 75 percent of that damage and the last 25 percent is determined based on your skill.

This was done to make harder to fully benefit with low skill levels on items with higher skill level requirements.
