Skill Point Suggestions...
Ummm people,
I made this post way back in June. This is not a new post. I've been side-swiped!!!
I am not the newb that this post depicts...Oh the humiliation! This is wrong.
Original message:
I have an idea on how to streamline skill points a little. How about these... - When a player is awarded a skill point, have the skill point automatically sent to the skill point pot for that player. Then simply announce that the skill point was added when winning the battle. This would allow you to have a full inventory/Bank and still accumulate skill points.
- When battling higher-ranked players, give more skill points. I can see this as being a realistic addition. However, might hurt newer players, as they will rarely beat the more experienced players. Just something I was thinking of.
- When someone chooses to battle you, and you win, you gain skill points. So when I am sitting at home collecting Everpoints and people are trying to battle me, I can still gain valuable skills from those fights if I win.
- The option to trade extra skill points back for Everpoints, Life, Magic, Agility, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Resists, or Stamina. Eventually skill points will reach their maximum, but will still accumulate. This will allow a player to keep busy applying them towards areas they need help.
Anyways, these are just my thoughts for something to think about after the CGE completion.
Thanks,
Leezerd

I can say, with 99% sureness.. that this point will never happen.. trust me.. I've been trying since long before you started playing to get something to do with skill points.. the devs have made it quite clear that skill points will only ever be for skills..
Thought I'd save Z the typing.. :P

This would be a great addition. It could streamline the process, if skill points are going to remain as rewards for losing a battle.- When battling higher-ranked players, give more skill points. I can see this as being a realistic addition. However, might hurt newer players, as they will rarely beat the more experienced players. Just something I was thinking of.
I don't think this would work well. Higher-ranked players only fight higher-ranked players, for the most part. The rich just get richer. But if skills are maxed, it wouldn't make a difference. Regardless, I don't think it would be a good addition.- When someone chooses to battle you, and you win, you gain skill points. So when I am sitting at home collecting Everpoints and people are trying to battle me, I can still gain valuable skills from those fights if I win.
Maybe a decent option, I like the idea. Again though, after skill points are maxed, it wouldn't make a difference. Might help some of the lower ranked players to compete.- The option to trade extra skill points back for Everpoints, Life, Magic, Agility, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Resists, or Stamina. Eventually skill points will reach their maximum, but will still accumulate. This will allow a player to keep busy applying them towards areas they need help.
Not sure how much I like the ability to start pumping points into upgrading basic stats. Everyone is on the same basic level when it comes to these stats. I don't think it would be worthwhile to give an ability to upgrade these stats.
Anyways, these are just my thoughts for something to think about after the CGE completion.

I am fairly certain the game was modified to allow you to claim Skill Point Prize Codes even if you have a full inventory. The reason we use the prize code system is because it has a complete delivery system with detailed logging, etc. It also makes it easy for players to go back and see how many skill points they won recently.

Actually, we are seriously considering reducing the number of skill points that players get .. in other words making it so you do not get a skill point every single time you lose a battle.

This is not feasible because some players will get attacked a lot more often than others. We learned this the hard way. We would like to come up with a way though that allows players to be affected when being attacked by other players.

Skill points are NOT currency. This has been suggested and rejected a number of times. The real solution is to stop giving away free skill points then it will no longer be an issue.

Thank you for taking the time to make well thought out suggestions. Even though we may not do what you are asking (and who knows, we've said no to things before and then changed our mind later), we definitely want to hear any suggestions you have.

I like it the way it is. It makes you think on what you want to do when you fight
